Palazzo At The Pool

Hey guys! I am back in India after a long stint in Hong Kong. My bags were exploding when i was packing and i had to leave many things behind as i was way over baggage limit. One thing i am ticked off about is the baggage limit on the planes these days. Hell! like they don't want you to shop in their country, or just tricks to make you pay more for the excess. I did end up exploring a lot of markets there and ended up buying a lot of things, also for friends and family.
Here are some shots at pool the other day in Hong Kong. I wore the palazzo pants as a cover for my bikini and my darn favorite Prada sunnies. The weather was just perfect in Hong Kong for a dip in the pool, but by the time i was leaving the city i could feel the winters creeping in.
All went well in Hong Kong.. something new is on the way.. i will soon reveal!
Stay with me!
xx

Tsim Sha Tsui 尖沙咀

Tsim Sha Tsui is an urban area in southern KowloonHong KongA major tourist hub in metropolitan Hong Kong, with many shops and restaurants that cater to tourists and half of the major museums in Hong Kong are situated in Tsim Sha Tsui. We walked around here for many hours and the night life is bustling with energy, the shops and restaurents stay open till late which is pretty damn nice if you sleep in till late. We visited the 'Avenue of stars' which is at the waterfront and offers a stunning panoramic view across Victoria Harbour. We made it in good time to catch the lazer lights show called the 'Symphony of Lights' and then strolled in narrow lanes to explore the heart of TST. I am totally in love with Hong Kong, the people, the culture, the food and the energy. This city has made me see myself in a new light, feel myself in a new dimension, for which i will ever be grateful. I want to thank my dear friends Shefali and Anant to have me at their lovely home for almost 3 weeks and made this experience so beautiful. I am leaving Hong Kong today to go back to my country but I know i will be back very soon again to explore more and fall in love with this place all over again.

Lifeguard Duty

Talking about shades of blue, i think i had it all covered. Spent the amazingly warm day wearing my bodycon swimsuit with denims and my favorite leather jacket as a tie up. I love jackets and i have a few from travelling around colder countries, but i hardly get to wear them in the Indian weather. So i devised a solution, wear them as waist tie ups. I think it makes the outfit casual - sporty. Shot by the lovely and talented Surbhi Jain.

Sonam Parmar Exhibit

Hanging out with Sonam Parmar at her exhibit at the Hyatt hotel was absolute fun. The colors and sequins, the glitter and prints, racks full of gorgeous pieces of clothing, i was in heaven. Loving her new collection called the Enchantress and the collection is as magical as the name. She is such an adorable person with such talent and vigor that she inspires me every time i meet her. She let me try on quite a few of her pieces and made me feel like such a diva. (told ya she's a sweetheart)
Here is a little interview below to know more about her and her new collection.

Tell us more about your new collection THE ENCHANTRESS and the exhibition.

A magician , a fairy , a witch ! Enchantress is an exceptionally attractive women who holds the power to put anything under a spell.

My endearment & partiality towards sequins & fine work thrived to a whole new level resulting to this bold , flamboyant collection called "The Enchantress"{by far the closest to my heart}. Keeping in mind the contemporary world we live in, these beauties fit in almost all celebrations. From crisp pants to fine fitted dresses or ripped denims to pallazzos ,these can be styled in all & surely make some heads turn.

A collection so unorthodox needed a platform with all the spotlight and what could be better than a crazy carnival ? So participated in the Pune's First Pop Up Carnival - The Style Potli and justice was truly done.

What was the inspiration behind THE ENCHANTRESS? How do you draw inspiration for your every collection.

She who leaves a trail of glitter is never forgotten...

Sequin & vibrant colours have always been a part of all my collection and seeing everyone accept not so simple designs encouraged me to come up with my signature styles. Keeping in mind the coming season and urge to be known as 'That Sequin Girl' & to take over Pune , my new collection started to bloom .

My main inspiration was to create designs like never before , combination of sequin & colours which are too good to be true ! Jacket being my USP (my baby) I invented these designs . No matter what season it is , every collection i try to think that what can i do to make a mark & get started in that direction

What is a notable trend in your opinion this season that every girl should own?

Particularly box pleated vintage skirts sets & of course sequin suit & blazers from Sonam Parmar :P

What is the highlight in your designs for THE ENCHANTRESS?

My highlights are the undaunted use of sequin along with vivid colors. Two of my signature style being 1. Sequin Suit : Sequin blazer along with a tutu floor length skirt. 2. Blazers : Blazer attached with a flowing bottom .

If someone misses out your exhibition (God Forbid), how can we go about getting hold of your designs?

I try to keep my design pieces as distinctive as possible . So if the design one liked is sold you can place an order at my design studio located near Aundh & i will help customize by of course adding the 'sonam parmar' touch to it !

I understand this must be a very busy time for you. What is your best way to de-stress?

Frankly the best way to de-stress is simply by lying down in pj's post event and reading all the love filled msgs, emails i get . That itself helps me know how i have performed & pumps me up for the next collection ! Other than this a nice chill short trip with friends & family helps me relax !
