A Neon Steal

I had been eyeing this neon dress at Zara for the longest time. The first time i saw it on the rack i could not figure how to wear it, but once i got in it right (after a few tries), it fit like a glove. This sale season i found the dress again and i knew i had to get it. It was such a steal at 50 percent off. Paired them up with some white sandals and round sunnies for that fun summery look.

Bon Appétit {Food Feature} - BROOKLYN SHUFFLE

If you are looking for a day out for some yummy comfort American food with the actual feel of those traditional diners, Brooklyn Shuffle is the place to be. Nestled in the quiet lane 7 of Koregaon Park, with a huge valet parking lot and a beautiful garden view, Brooklyn Shuffle has all the location brownie points. The interiors are tastefully done keeping in mind the diner vibe with a modern take.
The menu includes a huge variety of burgers, sandwiches, subs and salads. The breakfast menu has the pancakes, peanut butter jelly and however you like your eggs. I tried out the Prawn Po Boy sub which was delicious, the bread was soft and fresh, the prawns were crispy with the perfect sauce and veggies. Getting to the best part, the desserts, are to die for. That was probably the best brownie I've had in a long time, the walnuts flavor was on point.
So check out Brooklyn Shuffle, a place to enjoy some comfort food with friends or a lovely breakfast with your loved one.

Heart On My Sleeve

I am crushing on prints on denims these days. Button down shirts are here to stay, even though i love my classic black and white shirts, the printed shirts adds so much character to the look. Paired them up with my trusted denim cut offs, some white sandals and mirror aviators.
Oh and my sister Nikita finally took out time to add ombre highlights to my hair and i am in love with the color. Highlights from the roots can be quite messy when it starts growing out, so ombre highlights can add a lot of volume without needing too much maintenance. Thanks Niki for all the love you shower on me with your coloring wand. xx

IT GIRL {Style Feature} - KRITHIKA IYER

So excited to feature this Indian beauty, Pune's own model and dancer, Krithika Gopalkrishnan Iyer. I met this beauty when we were walking the ramp together and we got along like a house on fire. So easy to talk to, so generous and humorous, such a fantastic model. I know for sure that she is gonna go places with that vivacious personality. Her personal style is so easy yet elegant, i love how she can carry off pretty much everything and make it all look so exotic. I was shooting someone after a long time and i was a little unsure but as she came in-front of the lens it was like firecrackers. So photogenic that i felt like i was killing it haha!
Here's an interview of Krithika to know more of her :

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I am a 22 year old law student, professional model and Bharatnatyam dancer. Although my roots lie in Kerala, I was raised here in Pune for a major portion of my life. I am particularly fond of shiny objects and mirrors, anything on or with wheels, quote worthy quotes, my younger sister's wit and sarcasm, herbal tea in over sized mugs, british humor, sand art, wet earth, Bonobo (the musicians), manicures, Jim Carrey, the smell and feel of new books, bald men with french beards, sentences with multiple commas, mint in any form, and long walks with my best friend - Snuffles.

How would you describe your personal style?

"Comfort over style" is definitely the best way to define it. I always believe that I look my best when I feel my best. Full-sleeved tees, jeans, and throw-on shrugs consist of my go-to outfit choices, which I then accessorize with a statement piece of jewelry, bag, or pair of shoes. Since one of my professions demands that I stick it out in giant-sized heels for a better part of the day, I choose every other chance I get to keep my feet enclosed in sneakers or flats.

What are your passions?

I am most passionate about the goals I set for my self every day. I live by my own set of principles (some of which include deviating from said principles), but I do so in order to discover who I am as an individual. Given the situation, I find myself constantly asking the people around me to tell me their life stories. I guess a part of me loves listening to their personal experiences, the moments when they lost and then found themselves, and the memories they hold most dear.

What is in your handbag?

Irrespective of the occasion, there is ALWAYS in my over-sized handbag a planner and pen, headphones, tissues, gum and mouthwash, Chap stick, sample sized bottles of lotion and perfume, and my trusty can of Knock Out pepper spray.

Your favorite fashion destination?

At the moment, I think I'm falling in love with the fashion scene my sister often talks about in Russia. She never fails to bring me back a fair share of the spoils every time she comes back to India for the holidays, and it intrigues me to know just how trendy the women are in that country.

Favorite color at the moment?

Hard to pick a favorite, so I'll just list out my top three - black, rust and burgundy.

What do you think is a notable trend today and what are your thoughts on it?

The high waisted bottom - crop top trend is definitely here to stay for now. Undoubtedly one of my favorites, considering how it makes feel comfortable and sexy at the same time.

What do you spend money on the most?

Books, cosmetics and weirdly enough, socks. It's a disease, really. A few of the hawkers on MG Road know me by name now.

What is your most adored piece in your closet?

The first little black dress I had stitched for myself four years ago. It still fits like a dream, and when all the other outfits in my closet seem to fail me, this is the one dress I know I can always reach for.

What's on your iPod at the moment?

"Buffalo" and "Taro" by Alt-J
"Stay Awake" by London Grammar
"Saudade" by Chinese Man
"The Banality of Evil" by Nine Horses

"La Femme d'argent" by Air

Casual Monday

Even though skinny jeans are irreplaceable and a must have, i find myself leaning towards boyfriend fits. Its the comfort that kick me in and when i am dressing casual, comfort is my highest priority. Throw on a white tee and a statement necklace, you are good to go. This Louis Vuitton bag is the first ever designer bag i owned and its holding up pretty good, infact LV vintage to me is perfection. I am actually looking to get me some more vintage LV love soon.
Hope you are all having a fantastic day!
