Bon Appétit {Food Feature} - CAFE COLOMBIA

Lunch date with my good friend June Biswas, the blogger behind June Wants It All & my sister and photographer Nikita at the lovely CAFE COLOMBIA .
Located on the lush street of North court, lane 12 in Kalyani Nagar, this cafe has a refreshing feel with the turquoise blue interiors and the delicious chillers and smoothies they offer.
Cafe Columbia has an amazing breakfast menu with waffles, pancakes, paninis and also bigger meals like burgers, pastas, fish, salads, pizzas and various platters to tickle your taste buds.
I would highly recommend this place to chill with your friends away from the city rush, over some chillers and yummy food.

IT GIRL {Style Feature} - SONAM PARMAR

Our IT GIRL this week is the gorgeous and adorable Sonam Parmar.
She is a Pune based fashion designer whose personal style is vibrant, chic and alluring.
I spent the afternoon with her at the beautiful OLIVE BISTRO over lunch and we talked on and on about fashion and styling.
She is such a sweet person and so easy going that i can't imagine anyone feeling uncomfortable around her.
Here's a small interview of her, just to get to know this beauty a little more :

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

Fashion and Style being my better half i am a 23 yr old Fashion Designer from Pune, India currently running my own label called ‘Sonam Parmar’

How would you describe your personal style?

LOVE LOVE vintage {all time favorite}. I also try exploring different styles, cuts and silhouettes that suit my body. In short i'm never simple and boring.

What are your passions?

Other than passion for fashion, i love travelling. Specially when i can explore wild life and sea life.
I've always been a very adventurous person so what ever thrilling & exciting opportunities come my way i'm up for it.

What is in your handbag?

L’occitane Rose eau de toilette & gloss (a must have), Sephora Liner, blush and compact, The body shop hand sanitizer & cream, YSL Parisienne perfume {classic}, some handy accessories, rubber band and bob pins {super handy for summer to quickly tie up a messy side bun or pony} portable charger and sunglasses.

Your favorite fashion destination?

NYC has been by far the best.

Favorite color at the moment?

All time favorite is PINK, no doubt.

What do you think is a notable trend today and what are your thoughts on it?

A matching crop top and bottom, either same color/print, looks just too classy and vintage. Girls with the hour glass figure must must try it.

What do spend money on the most?

Accessories {bags shoes watches jewelry} & cosmetics.

What is your most adored piece in your closet?

Currently the pink sequin jodhpuri from my own collection.

What's on your iPod at the moment?

Baby doll mein sone di... hahaha!

Holi Hai !

Tomorrow is Holi ! The biggest festival of colors in India. As an Army kid (brat), Holi has always been big, special and fun every year.
In the Army, we celebrate all the festivals of India with as much vigor as possible, which to me is so beautiful.
Well, for me Holi is a day's pass for being plain crazy, which has left me with many scars from all the chasing and being chased.
The funniest incident was going to the hospital for stitches, dripping holi colors all over the hospital, but the icing on the cake was that the doctor (who put my stitches) was in the same party as i was and he was royally wasted!  Well!  That is how i got my super scar on my knee if any of you noticed.
But hell no regrets!
Yesterday i went shopping for colors and pichkari with my cray cray Zuber Memon and here are some shots by him.

And then Zuber had to prove his Cray Cray self!

Bon Appétit {Food Feature} - FAT CAT'S CAFE

For all you cake lovers and sweet tooth maniacs like me, FAT CAT'S CAFE is a bakery you must visit.
Located on the quiet end of Salunke Vihar road, this bakery has lovely mint green and white interiors, fairy lights and a cute little library.
Reminds me of those adorable Parisian bakeries where you want to sit for hours with a coffee, a cake and a good book.

My sister and I had a lovely evening there tasting a variety of cakes and sandwiches.
All the cakes are delicious, perfectly moist and enriched with flavor.
My personal favorite was the Red Velvet Cake and the Bacon jam on toast while my sister devoured the Cheesy Crab Puffs and the Snickers cake.

Fat cat's offer a huge variety of home cooked delicacies with a special menu every weekend.
From cinnamon rolls to Italian Lasagna, from cheese mushroom toast to strawberry almond cake.
The owners, Melanie Andrade and Sunil Kirpalani, are very sweet and make you feel at home.
Melanie bakes and cooks it all at home, so what can be better than home cooked goodies!
