So excited to feature my sweet Brazilian friend Paloma Dottori as the IT GIRL this week. I met her in Rio De Janeiro about two years ago randomly asking for directions in a shopping mall and now we are inseparable. It is funny how we meet our soul mates in the most unexpected of places. I do consider my friends as soul mates because of that instant connection we have that is honest and comfortable. She is a gem of a person, full of positive energy and a zest for life. I traveled around Brazil with her as she proudly showed me her country. We also met up in Ibiza last year, where she was living for a few months. Such a free spirit!
Her style is so bohemian chic and i begged her to be on my blog, which she sweetly agreed to.
We shot her looks over a period of few weeks, at Ipanema beach, Araruama and Buzios.
Here is an interview to know my babe a little more :
Tell us a bit about yourself
My name is Paloma Dottori de Sá Barreto and I was born in Brazil. I am 24 years old, and I am passionate about traveling, exploring new cultures and meeting new people. I'm currently living in Rio de Janeiro, where seemingly “everything is happening”. I am a student now and I study international relations at Puc university.
How would you describe your personal style?
My personal style is bold, chic, sexy and almost paradoxically feminine, but also slightly on the "hippie" side. I feel unique wearing high waist jeans and shorts with gypsy shirt. I am groovy with my heels, hats and jewelry.
What are your passions?
I am absolutely passionate about the boundaries of philosophy, the balance of the universe and the meaning about life. My passion is a driving force within me that positively impacts everything I do. I can feel satisfaction in knowing that I being fair and I have helped others to accomplish their goals as well as accomplishing mine.
What is in your handbag?
In my handbag i always have a lipstick, all sorts of make-up (eyeliner, mascara, foundation, powder, bronzer, blush), sunglasses, my iPhone ,a book, my wallet, Dictionary (German, Spanish and French), and the most important thing, MY AGENDA!
Your favorite fashion destination.
New York and Berlin
Favorite color at the moment?
Black, always black.
What do you think is a notable trend today and what are your thoughts on it?
Well, I think that the vintage-wearers are back. So I am loving this trend of mixing prints, shapes and styles. Even so, I think that most casual pieces, that are bright, loud, young and fresh, are pieces that brings life to the look. I am happy with the fact that people aren’t afraid to be seen wearing what they want to wear.
What do you spend money on the most?
Shoes and dresses.
What is your most adored piece in your closet?
A vintage hippie dress that I bought, in a hippie market in Ibiza, that is call Las Dalias.
What's on your iPod at the moment?
I am listening to MK – Burning. It’s awesome!
